Find your future with us.Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Payloads Systems Design Engineer to join their team in Long Beach, CA, Mesa, AZ, Oklahoma City, OK, or San Antonio, TX. Spares Engineering Design provides design engineering support, providing engineering solutions for obsolescent parts. Position Responsibilities:Perform 15.4 DE responsibilitiesPlan and perform payload analysis work at the sub component level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and requirementsProviding solution for an entire Boeing portfolio inside a problematic supplier Reviews and approves analysisGuide a team of less experienced engineers and teach DE methodologyWork closely with Team manager and Leads to assist other team membersWork with project engineers, stress, suppliers and procurement to ensure approval of analysisPresent team independently during interaction with suppliers Work and coordinate with other engineering groups to ensure requirements are metDevelop analytical process to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiencyExperience in design release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changesBeing able to Interpret Industry/Company Standards & ProcessesSome tools to be familiar with are CatiaV5, Enovia, STEALTH, QMAP, REDARS, ETAC, ESPEC, Bridge and other industry engineering toolsThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or chemistry or other technical degree3+ years of experience in Structure and/or Payload Design Engineering3+ years of experience in a military or commercial aircraft environment2D & 3D design with some knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, GD&TExperience in design release processes, policies and procedures, handling tooling issues, supplier driven changes?Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5+ years of Design Engineering experience in commercial aircraft environment3+ years of experience in Production, Sub-Components or SparesMaster''s Degree in related Engineering discipline1+ year of experience leading engineering teamsTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
