Process Development Engineer - Systems Verification Engineer (Contract): This is a contract & non-exempt position.Job DescriptionWe are ideally seeking an experienced, high caliber, Systems Verification Engineer to join our Systems Verification team. The Systems Verification Engineer will bring testing expertise and leadership assistance to the innovative and fast-paced Systems Verification team. This high caliber, motivated, and passionate individual will also be a key part to an evolving organization created in the past few years.Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include Programming (LabVIEW, Python) Fixture Design (MCAD/ECAD) in addition to Motion Control/Robotics Test Method Development (Motion Control, Robotics) and Validation Test Execution, Data Analysis. Documentation Bio Med/EE/HW/SW Eng contributions related to aboveResponsibilities May Also Include Assist with, and lead, testing projects including estimation, planning, coordination, project deliverables,and directing the day-to-day tasks of others Work independently and as a team member to plan, write, and execute test cases according to Abbottpractices, FDA regulatory, and ISO standard procedures Participate in the requirements, hazard analysis, and design reviews for new features Involvement in detail analysis, technical reviews, and process improvementsGeneral Expectations Display initiative, leadership, and coaching skills including continuous quality/engineering processimprovement, project leadership, and team training Evaluate, recommend, and employ test tools to ensure system quality Design new test suites for new features and functionality Provide verification and validation perspective to R&D''s ongoing product development: requirements,product and test designs, defect reviews, user workflows, and field complaint investigations. Maintain up-to-date status and continuing proficiency in the field of system test engineering.Experience And Education Required Bachelor''s degree/progress in Engineering Field or equivalent Technical/Technician Experience Fundamental understanding of professional system test engineering and development lifecyclemanagement tools Organized, on-time, detailed oriented, and quick learner Awareness of standard project management skills including project leadership Documentation skills in delivering information that adds value to management''s decision-makingprocess Quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills Communication - written documentation and presentations/discussions/meetings Ability to build relationships across various levels of an organization Energized attitude, collaborative partner, proactive thinker, self-starter, and team playerIdeal Requirements Engineering degree (ideally ME/SW, followed by BioMed/EE) undergraduate or beyond Co-op/Internship preferred, and 1 to 3+ years of experience ideally (preferably in Med Device) Experience with Altium, SolidWorks, NI LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, Studio 5000, and/or COMSOLThe Planet Group of Companies is an equal opportunity employer.
