Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Nursing Burn Unit NurseCurrently recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Nursing Burn Unit to work in San Antonio, Texas in a 1000+ bed hospital offering a broad range of specialties including cardiology, cancer care, bone marrow transplants, emergency medicine, neurosciences, maternity care, gynecology, and orthopedics. Job Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing Burn Unit RN : The Director facilitates, coordinates and delegates the delivery of patient care to a defined group of patients during their entire hospitalization period. Provides leadership and overall responsibility for the functioning of assigned clinical patient care/procedural unit(s). The Director reports to the Senior Director, Vice President and/or the Chief Nursing Officer. Responsible 24 hours a day, with full accountability, for 70-80 staff, 42 beds, and management of patient care in each of his/her units, for promoting the practice of professional nursing in a specified patient care area, and for the acquisition, development, and utilization of resources (human and material) needed to fulfill those responsibilities. Liaison between physicians and the patient care team and works cooperatively with administrators, physicians, staff, other managers, and all customers of the Methodist Healthcare System to provide services, which consistently meet and exceed the expectations of their customers. Assess and prioritize opportunities to improve, plan and implement effective changes and evaluate outcomes of process improvement activities. J ob Qualifications of the Director of Nursing Burn Unit RN: Bachelor''s degree in nursing required. Master''s degree MHA, MSN, MBA, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in burn unit required. 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Knowledge of human resource management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards preferred. Compensation of the Director of Nursing Burn Unit RN: Salary Range: $120K + Depending on Experience. Up to 15% of the annual incentive bonus.
