Minimum Requirements: 2 Year / Associate Degree Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum Preferred 1 - 3 Years Minimum Any Job Related Experience Perianesthesia Experience Preferred Assessment (Minimum proficiency) (Preferred proficiency) Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact Minimum Upon Hire Healthcare Provider CPR (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) Minimum Upon Hire None Certified Ambulatory PeriAnesthesia Nurse (CAPA) Preferred Key Responsibilities: Performs job duties in a manner to consistently improve the patient experience and minimize delays. Supportive of others involved in patient''s care. Assists the patient and family with coordinating care to meet individual needs. Facilitates patient flow thru the department processes. Demonstrates organizational skills and plans ahead. Consistently demonstrates cost savings activities: Minimize supply waste. Demonstrates productive use of time. Offers suggestions for cost savings. Demonstrates knowledge of departmental information by: regularly attending staff meetings, reading email information, attending departmental in-service offerings, reading communication books, reviewing available literature and resource material. Able to respond to emergent situations in an effective manner and willing to cross-train to other areas / departments. Demonstrates appropriate and effective conflict resolution skills. Olathe Medical Center, Inc., a 300-bed general acute care facility, is currently looking for Registered Nurse (RN) professionals to join our team in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Position Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. He/she provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. He/she integrates knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families through the continuum of care. The RN collaborates with others to integrate assessment and input of the patient, family and the interdisciplinary team.He/she ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, serves as a resource, preceptor, and mentor. Demonstrates leadership skills in decision-making and problem solving.
