Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Wire Design Engineer (Level 4) to join the Wire Design team located in Tukwila, Washington. This will be a unique opportunity to work on the next generation Presidential Aircraft (VC-25B). This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.At Boeing, our engineers use their expertise to create innovative next generation capabilities for a wide variety of amazing aerospace platforms and products. In joining this program, you will be part of an outstanding team of technical designers & engineers making history as we shape this one of a kind next generation Aircraft.Position Responsibilities: Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews.Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews.Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets.Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Works under minimal direction.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Export Control:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):Currently possess a Bachelor''s, Master''s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryExperience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical designPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) toolsExperience using more than one of the following Tools - CADDS, MAPPER, TOOLBOX, WIRS, Equipment Manager, and Capital LogicExperience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit teamsTypical Education: Bachelor''s degree and typically 9 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a Master''s degree with typically 7 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
