Infrastructure Monitoring Specialist San Antonio, TX *US Citizenship Required The candidate would be responsible for a variety of technical and functional tasks including, but not limited to, requirements gathering standards, guidelines, and analyzing phase methodology to meet the client''s overall objectives, providing recommendations for the design, development, test, and deployment activities, and providing client meeting and deliverable support as required. To be successful, the candidate will need to have exceptional communication and presentation skills, have technical familiarity/ability to become technically familiar with the relevant Innovation pilot or proof of concept, and serve as an advisor during each aspect of discovery, requirements gathering, and implementation of the innovation pilot or proof of concept. Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to: * Ideation o Collect and catalog ideas for future waves of innovation o Support ideation sessions with the client teams *Execution o Support team during the vision and strategy sessions for the proof of concept or pilot o Define and document solution requirements o Actively support architecture design discussions o Communicate with clients about requirements o Help identify Innovation related implementation risks o Implement and own a consolidated monitoring tool across a distributed environment o Define monitoring standards for all infrastructure spanning across the production and non-production environments, including cloud and on-prem instances o Ensure all alerts are timely, proactive (where possible), and actionable. Eliminate ''noise'' and continually finetune alerts to ensure the thresholds remain meaningful. o Implement and own a consolidated alerting system ensuring alerts are routed correctly and handled timely. o Address incidents and requests regarding monitoring and paging configurations o Configure network, server, and cloud monitoring using tools o Develop and configure monitoring policies including tag, filter, group, and monitor policies o Configure and fine tune KPI, baselines and monitoring thresholds at local and instance level o Develop and configure custom monitoring solutions o Manage and support integrations with ServiceNow ITSM, PagerDuty, Microsoft Teams, API, CMDB o Provide reports, stats, and metrics to users and help pinpoint issues with Infrastructure and Applications o Support weekly stakeholder status update meetings * Delivery o Support the creation and delivery of all Innovation related artifacts - Creating/Updating existing relevant client documentation - Supporting live demos Requirements include, but are not limited to: * Systems Performance Monitoring (Intermediate) * Infrastructure Assessment (Intermediate) * Loggin/Auditing & Tracing (Intermediate) Other Requirements, but are not limited to: * Bachelor''s Degree in Information Systems, related discipline or 4-6years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field * Experience with source control systems and issue tracking * Experience with business process design and evaluation * Familiarity with cloud technologies AWS, Azure, GCP * Two - Three years Configuring network, server, and cloud monitoring * Experience in testing using the Agile & Waterfall methodologies and frameworks. * Three years managing and support integrations with ServiceNow ITSM * Two - Four years of experience working with client deliverables on tight deadlines * Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team * Ability to think outside the box and clearly articulate the vision for a potential solution * High level of comfort with a fast pace, highly ambiguous project environment cjpost
