Job Description

PURPOSEThe Technology Systems Training Specialist will have two major areas of responsibility. The Technology Systems Training Specialist will also work to identify the necessary technology skills for each segment of the Firm''s user population, legal and non-legal, and will design and conduct comprehensive and concise training classes to develop those skills. As the Firm''s principal authority on desktop application functionality, the Specialist will be instrumental in their development, customization, implementation, and maintenance. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Consult with all areas and levels of Firm personnel to identify educational opportunities.Build out education plans for applications and systems in use at the FirmIdentify tools and methodologies to aid in the delivery of cost-effective education.Create and maintain all educational material, both written and "e-learning"Design methodology to track and measure the education programs success.Analyze data from our Service Desk system, and from user surveys and committee meetings to help identify education opportunities.Serve as liaison for training vendors during major rollouts.Keep a keen eye on trends in the industry to ensure the education programs are evolving and innovative. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluate the skills of employees as well as prospective employees.Assist in the training of newly hired Help Desk Analysts when requested by management.Maintain an application training knowledge base on the Firm''s intranet.Assist in establishing and maintaining training and education budgetResponsible for other special projects and other duties, as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTSRequires a four-year degree in Information Technology or related discipline or comparable education and work experience.5+ Years of experienceProven track record of developing comprehensive training and education programs, as well as delivering and measuring effectiveness.Proven track record of working with technology peers and end user community to ascertain areas that require training and education.Exhaustive, expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, and intermediate-to-expert knowledge of most legal applications: iManage WorkSite, Litera ChangePro, DocXTools, Templates and Numbering Suite, Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Fulcrum/SAP is a plus.Candidates must have first-class customer service skills, and be able to effectively train partners, associates, secretaries, and other staff. - provided by Dice
