Find your future with us.Boeing is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Product Security Engineer - Avionics Development to join our growing team in AvionX, in partnership with Wisk Aero as part of an integrated Product Security Organization, located in Berkley, MO and Plano, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of product cyber security and resiliency engineering for avionics through requirements, design, analysis, build, test, production, operations, support and sustainment.As a part of the partnership with Wisk Aero, we are transforming the future of urban mobility through safe, all-electric, autonomous flight. You will be a part of Boeing''s Product Security Engineering Organization, which is a growing multi-disciplinary cybersecurity engineering organization that is responsible for the cyber security and resiliency of our products, platforms, and services. You will have the opportunity to shape and influence Product Security Engineering within AvionX, the Wisk Aero Joint Venture, and engage with Boeing and Wisk''s Product Security community. Successful Candidate Exhibits and Demonstrate:Solution oriented individual with a strong analytical mindsetStrong communication skills and ability to tailor communication style to suit the audienceAbility to adapt quickly or propose needed changes to achieve early results in a timely fashionDemonstrated performance embracing challenges, keeping commitments, and delivering results within reasonable expectationsExperience leading and working with a dynamic team across engineering and non-engineering disciplinesAbility to work autonomouslyPosition Responsibilities:Lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security for Boeing AvionX avionics systems, throughout the requirements, design, analysis, build, test, production, operations, support and sustainment lifecycleCoordinate with Wisk Aero Joint Venture platform and system-of-systems product security counterparts for requirements, activities, artifacts, and solutionsCoordinate with other engineering stakeholders - systems, software, and hardware - advising on the results of security analysis - to develop secure architectures and designsLead, establish, and integrate standards and processes for product security engineering for avionics development, and to meet applicable program and certification requirementsUtilize the Risk Engineering digital thread to inform product requirements surrounding cyber survivability against specified cyber threats - by performing criticality, adversity, threat analysis for avionics systemsLead risk reduction and technology maturation activities - where appropriate - resulting in innovative solutions in product and services offeringThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry1+ years of experience with developing, delivering, and supporting products and systems as an engineerExperience in cyber security and/or product security engineeringPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in development of avionics computer systemsExperience performing security risk assessments and risk management within networked operational technology (OT)Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities and engage with stakeholders to define, plan, resource and deliver solutionsExperience with the development of cybersecurity philosophies, patterns, requirements, secure architectures and designsExperience coordinating and presenting technical content to a diverse audience, as well as preparing technical documentationExperience in product cyber security for avionics systems and component level developmentExperience performing adversity (threat) analysis, security risk assessments, and maturing the analysis throughout the development lifecycle - to inform requirements, and designExperience generating product cyber security artifacts for customer/certifiersSecurity certification is desired (e.g. CISSP); Please state/include on resumeExperience and applied knowledge of security airworthiness processes and methods applied to avionics systems, such as but not limited to DO-326A and DO-356AExperience and applied knowledge of complex safety critical systems development process methodologies and associated practices, such as but not limited to ARP-4754, DO-178C, DO-254Experience applying the certification regulations from several of the following: Part 23, 25, 27, 29, 33, 35Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor''s degree and typically 9 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a Master''s degree with typically 7 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years'' experience in an engineering classification.Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
