JOB SUMMARY - Performs duties related to handling, processing, storage, destruction, shipping, and tracking of laboratory specimens under IATA guidelines for clinical trial studies under supervision of Laboratory Manager.II KEY RESPONSIBILITIESHave full knowledge of laboratory procedures and processes for all lab sampling according to protocol and/or study specific laboratory manualReview PK processing, harvest log documents, and shipping manifestsCollect, label, process and ship clinical laboratory samples as neededPrepare collection tubes, vials, study supplies for visits including PK/PD set upEnsure proper handling, processing, and shipping of laboratory samples according to protocol, laboratory manual, and IATA specificationsMonitor biological sample storage temperature.Conduct inventory, maintain and notify Laboratory Manager of lab supplies including dry ice, laboratory equipment, and purge expired supplies as neededComply with current protocols, SOPs, GCPs, IRB and FDA guidelinesHave general knowledge of site SOPs, ICH-GCP guidelines, FDA regulations and assigned clinical trial protocolsAttend Site Initiation Visits and/or in-service training for company training and clinical trial protocolsComply with site training programUpdate curriculum vitae annuallyMaintain current Saf-T-Pak Certification or IATA equivalent, OSHA, and site''s SOP trainingParticipate in staff meetings, annual SOP training and emergency drillsPack and properly label all study materials for storage or return to sponsor upon study close outEnsure ACT SOP are followed in destruction of biological samplesTrain necessary staff to assist in laboratory proceduresPrepare for internal and external data audits along with the clinical research coordinatorAssumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
