Full vaccination (against COVID-19) is defined as: an individual must be either two weeks past the last shot of a two-shot vaccination sequence, or two weeks past the only shot of a one-shot vaccination sequence. Description of Duties: The Senior Reliability Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: * Provide RAM expertise in developing high availability infrastructure architectures for virtualized computer environment. * Utilize reliability software tools such as ReliaSoft RAM tools suite. * Undertake RAM activities including RAM plans, Functional Analysis, Functional Block Diagrams, reliability/availability apportionment, predictions and modelling, FMECAs, Fault Tree Analysis / Reliability Block Diagram maintainability analyses. * Utilize RAM management and RAM engineering processes such as RAM planning, RAM Demo planning, RAM analysis, RAM requirements capture. * Partner with system design team to develop RAM system model. * Acquire and integrate unit level RAM data into reliability block diagrams and mathematical models to project system level RMA characteristics. * Design and conduct Reliability & Maintainability testing and perform statistical evaluation of test data; Update RAM models with test results. * Support Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) assessments by reviewing equipment failure data, identify RAM problems and assessing corrective actions; Update RAM models based on FRACAS results. * Complete predictions and be able to discuss RAM areas of improvements with design engineers. * Propose modifications or alternatives of the system architecture in case of non-compliances. Identify and communicate the weak points of the technical solution. * Create and drive the RAM requirements throughout the project/product life cycle phases, including follow up for closure with product, system and test engineering. * Plan, coordinate and execute tasks required to achieve the project or product RAM milestones, including requirements, calculations, qualitative/quantitative analysis, availability analysis, maintainability analysis, reviews, audits, and collection of data to facilitate RAM demonstration. * Use RAM principles to recommend components, assess the need for redundancy, evaluate accessibility for maintenance, and determine whether the system provides adequate testability features. The successful candidate will: * Be willing to travel CONUS approx. 10% of the time. * Be able to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. * Have good interpersonal skills and flexibility to work with multi-country teams and customers. * Have effective skills in problem solving and root cause analysis. * Have effective and clear communication skills related to documentation and presenting technical items and project reporting. This position will be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO This position is expected to pay $166,200 - $176,200 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. Here''s What You''ll Need: Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 14 years of general experience; Associate''s degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor''s degree and 10 years of general experience; Master''s degree and 8 years of general experience. * If this position requires travel selected candidate must be willing to provide proof of fully vaccinated (against COVID-19) status? (the process of which must be completed prior to the anticipated start date) * Must have 8 years of experience in relevant engineering principles and practices as it relates to developing, implementing, and monitoring system reliability; ideally in a DoD or Space environment. * Must have 3 years of experience working in a management or leadership role * Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret, or higher, Security Clearance Desired Requirements: * Have experience calculating equipment failure rates using data from various sources and develop Reliability Block Diagrams with this information * Have knowledge with ReliaSoft family of products Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
