Position Title: Junior BI EngineerClient: Social Security AdministrationImplementation Partner: LeidosLocation: Baltimore, MDKey Required Skills:PostgreSQL / Greenplum database and working on data pipeline for non-relational data structure [NoSQL data model such as JSON on MongoDB, HBASE]; ETL Tools, SQL; BI Development, Data AnalysisPosition Description:We are in search of an entry level BI Engineer to join our team based in supporting the contracts at the Social Security Administration.Leidos is seeking an entry level BI Engineer to join a team supporting Data Modeling and Data Administration supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA), Data Administration Data Quality Branch (DADQB), located in Baltimore Maryland.The DADQB a component within the Division of Enterprise Architecture & Data Administration (DEADA). The primary function of the DADQB is to promote quality and consistent data across the agency by aiding in the planning and development of systems.The selected candidate will be responsible supporting the DADQB on the following:Working with OLTP/data warehouse modeling and play key role in multiple projects and act as knowledge expert (Technical, Functional).Collaborate with Solution & Enterprise Architects, Business analysts, DBAs and others to understand business requirementsSupport complex discussions and engagements that may involve multiple project teams from client. Able to work independently with BA and PM to gather requirements, perform data discovery, come up with data model, and work with developers to design and implement ETL solutions.Work with ETL methodologies for supporting data extraction, transformations and loading processing, in a corporate-wide-ETL Solution.Working on data pipeline solution on large database environment (e.g., Greenplum/PostgreSQL).Data analysis, problem solving.Work with ETL tools and SQL database.Working with a team in information architecture, data architecture, data modeling, data governance, ETL design, data quality and BI-analytics.Working with a team designing relational data models, analytical data models and non-relational data models for OLTP and advanced analytic applications.Skills Requirements:Required Skills:Some Experience in PostgreSQL / Greenplum database and working on data pipeline for non-relational data structure, NoSQL data model such as JSON on MongoDB, HBASE, Hive is a plus.Knowledge regarding BI Development, ETL Tools, SQLSome Data Analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solvingDesired Skills:Some experience working in large-scale cloud database environments is a plus.Some experience working on data pipeline for non-relational data structure, NoSQL data model such as JSON on MongoDB, HBASE, Hive is a plusGood communication skills and ability to convey complex topics through effective documentation as well as presentation.Familiar with machine learning and advanced analytic application development.Some ability to create dashboards in Tableau or Webfocus using various sources like database, CSV files, XL spreadsheets etc. Education:Associates degree and 3+ years of experience in a training-related field or HS/GED degree and 5+ years of experience in a training-related fieldMust be able to obtain a Public Trust - provided by Dice
