Requisition : ELECT003285 Job Title:Electronic Warfare SME Location:Virginia Beach, Virginia 23461 Clearance Level:Secret Required Certification(s): * Bachelor''s level degree in one of the following disciplines: Systems Engineering; or Technical Engineering discipline **Selected applicantsmay be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ** SUMMARYNaval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA) is assigned the duties of systems and software engineering, development, testing, hardware engineering, site support, Life-Cycle support inclusive of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Configuration Management (CM) activities, fielding and maintenance support, In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Cybersecurity (Cyber), C6ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber-Defense and Combat Systems and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), Safety, Test and Evaluation (T&E), and Readiness support for assigned shore based training systems. DUTIES * Provide systems and technical engineering support services through the implementation of disciplined and rigorous System Engineering processes across all mission areas of Training and Readiness (T&R) shore-based systems.* Support the execution of engineering activities that include developing technical approaches and plans that support the Stakeholder''s desired capabilities, determination of scope of work tasks to complete the technical effort and estimating time to accomplish the work tasks and establishing feasible schedules based on resource availability.* Provide assessments of technical risk, through identification, analysis, and determination of risk mitigation options, and work with the Program Manager to resource associated mitigation plans.* Provide risk status and inputs to Program Reviews, Risk Management Boards, and System Engineering Technical Reviews.* Support the development and application of policies, procedures, and information technologies to plan, acquire, access, manage, protect, and use technical data required by various training systems.* Support formal and informal Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs).* Provide support for the integration of shore-based training systems. Qualifications Education and Certifications* Bachelor''s level degree in one of the following disciplines: Systems Engineering; or Technical Engineering discipline Background Needed and Years of Experience* Eighteen (18) years of full-time professional experience in one or more of the following fields: Systems Engineering; or Engineering Design and Development Additional Skills & Qualifications Must Have Technical Skills* Demonstrated experience providing requirements to Trouble Reports (TR) and/or Change Requests (CR) written against failed requirements.* Demonstrated experience reviewing architectures, component functional allocation and flows, interfaces, system processing and performance for Electronic Warfare Navy systems.* Demonstrated experience evaluating design options and recommend solutions to identified Electronic Warfare Navy systems problems.* Demonstrated experience providing subject matter Naval Electronic Warfare expertise to develop test plans, test specifications, test reports, and other planning documents.* Demonstrated experience developing procedures to test functional-level and system-level requirements of the Electronic Warfare Training software.* Demonstrated experience participate in training related test events such as: ACTS/BFTT/ATD and/or Fleet Synthetic Trainer (FST). Preferred Technical Skills* Demonstrated Experience in one or more of the following Naval System areas: AEGIS US Navy SLQ-32A, SLQ-32B, and/or SLQ-32(V6) experience Working Conditions Working Conditions* General office environment.* Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.* The working environment is generally favorable.* Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.* Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Strength Demands * Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/ carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required.* Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
