THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:The IT Data and Integration organization is looking for senior level data modeler to lead data modeling activities for the enterprise data analytics platform on Google Cloud in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. The individual designs transactional and analytical databases that translate complex business data into usable systems. This individual will work closely with cross functional business and IT teams in a highly collaborative environment to develop enterprise data structures that meet organizational needs using conceptual, logical, and physical data models.YOU''LL ACCOMPLISH ALL THIS BY:•Work with technical analysts and business partners to translate business and data requirements into an enterprise domain and analytical data models to support reporting and analytics.• Analyze the existing data structures and identify the sources of incoming data to drive source to target mapping with assistance from ETL developers and data engineers.• Build database objects (Tables, Relationships, Triggers, Stored Procedures, etc.) with assistance from DBA.• Build, maintain and govern all enterprise data models defined in modeling tools like ER/Studio and ERwin.• Define data security roles, groups and policies. Should have experience in defining policies to support sensitive and non-sensitive data.• Responsible for defining and enforcing data modeling design standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies for the organization.• Partnering with business stakeholders and data architects to ensure the data models meet business expectations.• Responsible for maintaining description of enterprise datasets aligning with data stewards from Data Governance organization.• Applies naming standards, metadata standards, checks models in and out of Model Repository, and documents data model translation decisions• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or specialized experience in a scientific or technical discipline, or equivalent• 10+ years of IT experience in design of relational and analytical databases and data warehouse platforms.• At least 6 years of experience in in data modeling• Senior level experience as a Data Modeler.• 4+ years of experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries involving table joins and correlated sub-queries on large scale data tables.• Proven track record of working autonomously to deliver high quality data models in an agile environment.• Experience in ER, dimensional and canonical models required.• Experience with Retail domain data models preferred• Demonstrated experience in developing, validating, publishing, and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models• Experience using data modeling tools such as ER/Studio and Erwin.• Strong experience in modeling data lakes and data warehouses.• Knowledge of data pipelines/ETL jobs highly desired.• GCP experience using tools such as Big Query, GCS, Dataflow, Pub/Sub preferred but open to consider AWS or Azure.• Experience with Data Governance preferably with tools such as Collibra highly desired.• Knowledge of data centric security architecture concepts, SOX compliance and open standards• Excellent analysis/troubleshooting skills• Excellent communication skills; able to work with non-technical business partners• Work with project team in an onshore / offshore model The pay range for this position is USD $98,000.00/Yr. - USD $166,300.00/Yr. with the opportunity to earn additional compensation pursuant with the Company''s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
