Supplemental1648 Huntingdon PikeNursing RN/LPNDayPosition Summary:The Wound Care Center Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) is an integral part of the Wound Care Center clinical team. The WOCN provides care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with chronic or acute wound issues. Working in conjunction with the treating physician, additional Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses, and other RN''s, the nurse provides direct patient care as well as oversees all aspects of patient care. These may include education of patients and caregivers, staff education, contact with home health agencies, working with durable medical equipment (DME) companies, and ensuring adequate supplies for patient treatment. In addition the Wound Care WOCN is responsible for medical case management of Redeemer Health Wound Care Center patients. The position encompasses responsibility as a consultant/advisor in the Wound Care Center, as well as coverage, when necessary, for the hospital, Saint Joseph''s Manor, and the Lafayette Redeemer.Recruitment Requirements:* Graduate of accredited School of Nursing* Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License required* Bachelors Degree in Nursing* Completion of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing education program approved by the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse''s Society* Current Wound, Ostomy, and Continence certification* Wound care experience or related experience preferred* BCLS certification required
