SD-WAN Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Description PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Supports the overall network design, test, implementation and documentation of USMC data center subsystems that include storage, network, compute, load balancing and WAN acceleration, specifically using Cisco SD-WAN technologies * Configures and manages centralized controllers to oversee the control plane of the Cisco SD-WAN fabric, provision, maintain and secure the Secure Extensible Network (SEN) overlay network* Designs and implements network architectures to connect data centers, core and Base Area Networks (BAN)/Local Area Networks (LAN) using Cisco SD-WAN technologies such as vEdge Cloud, vEdge 2000/5000, and edge appliances.* Supports WAN acceleration efforts* Implements solutions using IPv6 and migrate from existing IPv4 to IPv6 using stateless address autoconfiguration, Network Address Translation (NAT), flow labeling and DHCP v6* Performs Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) / bake-offs and make data driven recommendations for enterprise-wide hardware solutions that benefit the holistic network design and fielding effort* Applies relevant NIST, STIG, DISA security guidance to support favorable Assessment and Authorization decisions Requirements MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:* Experience designing and implementing Software Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) solutions using Cisco technologies* WAN expertise migrating from MPLS to SDWAN* Experience with Cisco Edge Platforms supporting network virtualization* CCNP level experience with traditional WAN routing solutions, best practices and DoD constraints* Experience implementing IPV6 in a data center environment.* DoD 8570 compliant certifications, such as Security+, CISSP, and a CCNA or higher* Primarily work from home, but able to travel to SRC North Charleston offices or local Government sites as necessaryDESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:* Experience migrating from traditional WAN solutions to software defined solutions.* Experience with vAnalytics and ThousandEyes* Experience working in an Agile/Scaled Agile environment * Experience with USMC policies, procedures and security requirements SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET ELIGIBILITY ABOUT US Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
