Practice Assistant (66485)Jefferson Valley, NYRADIOLOGY5 days a week 8:30 am- 5:30 pmTemp. to Perm.Position Overview:The Practice Assistant is responsible for ensuring customer service and the front desk registration process (check-in), scheduling and payment collection are to the standards operationally and financially. It is the responsibility of the Practice Assistant to check-in patients via.Phreesia. Phreesia Pre-Visit should always be the first check-in method utilized- then In-Office Mobile, Pad and Dashboard in that order. The check-in process includes obtaining and properly documenting all applicable demographic, insurance and related billing information in Phreesia and NextGen. In addition,Patient copays/payments must be collected at the time of service and signatures obtained for all Front Desk forms and financial waivers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):Complete the Check-In process utilizing Pre-Visit, in-Office Mobile, Pad and Dashboard in thatorderCohen patient copays and payments at the time of serviceVerify and update patient account information including obtaining signatures on all financial forms and waivers according to Front Desk policy and procedures.Provide quality Customer Service to the patients and visitors courteously and promptly.Works routinely with the Insurance Verification team to maintain knowledge of Insurance and to ensureaccuracy of information is being entered.Follow the Cash Security policy and procedures according to the guidelines.Maintains work area and patient waiting room routinely and in a neat and orderly manner.maintain knowledge of individual physicians scheduling requirements and preferences.Uphold a professional image and environment at the front desk. Provide patient support and respond to requests for information in a courteous and timely manner.performs related work as required.Qualifications and Education:High School Graduate and minimum of two years'' experience in Customer experience, preferably in a medical practice environment.
