Job DescriptionResponsible for overall coordination and scheduling of surgeon''s time, patients, and practice.Schedules patients in clinic, for pre-operative testing, and surgery. Instructs patients regarding what to expect and how to prepare for surgery.Manages patient flow in surgeon''s clinic.Acts as the liaison between the patient and the surgeon both pre and post operatively.Manages surgeon''s practice which may include coordinating the daily calendar, assisting with requested tasks, monitoring and renewing licensure and professional memberships, sending out consults, scheduling meetings, and assisting with travel planning.Manages incoming referrals and scheduling. Monitors insurance coverage and is responsible for prior authorization as needed. Responsible to communicate back to referring physicians.Knowledgeable of both the Allscripts and EPIC EMR systems.Responsible for physician''s charge tickets, working the missing ticket report, and indexing into the chart.May be asked to cover front desk and cover office phonesJob RequirementsApplicable Experience:1 yearJob DetailsFull TimeDay (United States of America)The best place to get care.
