Cardiac Technician-2400 Cardio-Thoracic Stepdown - Evening, Part-Time - 22.5 hours/week Req : 0000070599 Category: EKG/EEG Technician Status: Part-Time Shift: Evening Facility: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Location: 2400 Cardio-Thoracic Stepdown, 94 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039 JOB SUMMARY: Operates and assists in the monitoring of a patient on the Cardiothoracic Step down Unit. Administers individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of cardiothoracic step down unit procedures. Assumes responsibility for patient care and monitoring before, during and after procedures under the direction and supervision of an RN. Executes special assignments with the unit assigned to them by the Nurse Manager/PCC/CC/RN. Participates in quality improvement programs and inventory control. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) pletion of cardiothoracic step down unit technician orientation modules/class/clinical.
