Charge Nurse (RN) B7 Labor and Delivery (Nights) Req : 0000074012 Category: Nursing Status: Full-Time Shift: Night Facility: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Location: Labor & Delivery, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ 07112-2027 The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital s mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient s age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities. EDUCATION: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. REQUIREMENTS: Current/active New Jersey RN License required. BLS Certification requiredNRP Certification requiredACLS Certification requiredMinimum two (2) years recent/current Labor and Delivery experience Charge Nurse experience with demonstrated leadership skills preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsI.V. certification from an approved facility or completion of those requirements preferred. Successful completion of all Orientation programs required by NBIMC.
