Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a high performing Software Engineering Manager (Level K) to join the Software Engineering team located in Everett, WA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA)business organization.This is a great opportunity to lead our broad skilled Software teams that supports multiple programs in BCA and help shape the future of the organization. The position will be dedicated to development and maintain software products, whether develop internally or procured through partners on a wide range of Boeing Commercial Airplane programs.This leader must be able to build and maintain relationships across the production value stream, including peers in engineering, operations, supply chain and manufacturing, and will have responsibility for project oversight, software development and implementations. The ideal candidate will have a background in software development, specifically with high criticality systems, as well as strong leadership skills.Position Responsibilities:Handle professional employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Software and Electrical EngineeringDevelop and complete software project and implementation plansProvide technical management and guidance to partnersProvide leadership and oversight of technical approaches, development and manufacturing supportDeveloping and maintaining relationships with customers (internal/external), Stakeholders, Peers, Partners, and Direct ReportsMost importantly, lead, develop and motivate employeesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, ABET accredited5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry or similar high-tech industryExperience in team building, coaching, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team membersPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience applying Software development and software life cycleExperience with Electrical engineering and integration of complex applications and softwareTypical Education/Experience:Typical education and experience described in our standard level guides are aligned to the type and number of years of experience/education required to perform the job in industry. For management positions, our industry sources do not specify typical experience/education.For reference you may review the non-management level guide most relevant to the work performedTravel: Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.
