JAVA Spring Kafka Cassandra Software Engineer

Description for Internal CandidatesAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a 5-8-person agile team and focus on Spring Java development including working on Kafka event streams, Cassandra and Hadoop-based technologies. You will work on cutting edge Cloud Foundry GAIA cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Hadoop Spark and AWS cloud.As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You must be a strong core Java developer who develops using Test Driven Development and is familiar with working in a Continual Integration environment on a shared code base. You will be passionate about writing high quality code and be familiar with tools used to measure quality, security and performance. Your technical experience will allow you to take the lead on feature design and development, as well as allowing you to identify new features and help form the strategy and direction of the program. You will be an experienced agile feature team member proficient in estimating and prioritizing feature backlogs to ensure that a team is productive and continually delivers, while managing stakeholder expectations and meeting commitments made.
