Requires knowledge, skill and ability to perform and fill in for any position on the production line and can perform equipment setup.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for product quality, workmanship and process applications consistent with the companys manufacturing objectives.Follows safety guidelines and monitors use of safety devices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions.Maintain conformance with Company work rules and regulations. Trained and certified for all welding operations, methods and processes.Operational and Setup knowledge of automated and robotic weld cells.The ability to restart robots and automated equipment from minor errors.Operational and Setup knowledge of resistance welders.Knowledgeable on Welding Specification requirements, print reading, and weld evaluation techniques.Weld process, automated fixture and machine trouble shooting skills.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Prefer a minimum of 3 year experience in a preparatory position of similar work. Must be able to use scales and measurement instruments, and maintain quality inspection records. Must be able to pass all welder certifications required for the department.The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand entire shift, use both hands, and perform tasks requiring repetitive bending, twisting, turning, lifting, pushing and reaching. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance.
