We areseekinga Staff Mechanical Designer at the Integrated Products Division of ARA. This position includes full lifecycle mechanical and systems engineering of unmanned systems, sensor systems, and geotechnical projects and products. The job requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be a team player. You will join a dynamic team working on our Robotic, Sensor, and Geotechnical product lines. You will be part of a team that designs, prototypes, integrates and troubleshoots next generation technology, bringing state of the art solutions to our warfighters and our commercial customers. What youll do as a Staff Mechanical Designer You will be a member of a diverse team of mechanical engineers Proficient in Solid works Excellent working knowledge of drafting standards such as ASME Y14 Generate 2d drawing packages to support production and manufacturing Update 3d models of mechanical and electrical systems in CAD Create 2d and 3d models Work closely with electrical and software engineers on project tasks Work closely with program managers Work closely with mechanical and electrical technicians Ensure that our ISO 9001:2015 processes are being followed Staff Mechanical Designer S. Mechanical Engineering or AAS in CAD/Drafting 2-4 Years of experience or equivalent combination of training and experience Solid Works experience Ability to generate and review design packages and BOMs Familiar with industry standard Mechanical Engineering standards Strong communication skills Ability to support cost estimation Staff Mechanical Designer Preferences S.
