The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.Job Description:Primary focus of this position is to develop complex software/firmware modules for machine control in semiconductor inspection systems.Project involves demanding real-time embedded applications including interrupt-driven task-based multi-threaded software for electro-mechanical control system running on a real-time operating system (RTOS) such as real-time Linux for a high-reliability application.The candidate for this position will be a highly motivated individual with experience in C/C++ programming, object-oriented design principles and Linux environment.The successful candidate will be required to interact with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, optics and other software teams to acquire in-depth domain knowledge and solve system problems.The candidate also needs to understand system level requirements and translate them into software design and implementation.Participate in all stages of software development, including design, implementation, deployment, testing and troubleshooting.Qualifications Desired:BS, MS or PhD preferred in Computer Science / Control System / Electrical Engineering or similar fields, with 2+ years of experience in Linux & RTOS based C/C++ software development.Strong technical skills in OOD/OOP, interface definitions, control systems are essential.Strong experience in multi-threading and network programming is required.Strong software diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are required.Linux administration knowledge and UML knowledge are plus.Experience in semiconductor fab operations/manufacturing technology (optional)Strong team player and motivated by team success.Minimum QualificationsPhD or Master''s Degree and 3 years of industry experience, or Bachelor''s Degree and 5 years of industry experience.COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required where permitted by law.
