Position Summary Finxact, a Fiserv Company is looking for an innovative and passionate Software Engineer to join our growing team. As a Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor within the Development team working to build and maintain framework components across our suite of applications and services. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The type of activities expected to be performed at this level include, but are not limited to: Your primary focus will be on developing Go application framework components that are scalable and maintainable across our enterpriseTranslating software requirements into stable, working, high-performance softwareWork on interesting and difficultproblemsDevelop services that interact with RDBMS and Messaging systemsDevelop quality unit/integration tests to ensure a quality productPlaying a key role in application architecture and design of the systemEducation and Experience Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience3-6 years of hands-onsoftware development experience1+ Years of Go software development experienceExperience with go frameworks such as:API routing packages such as Gorilla/Mux or ChiDependency Management using Go Modules, Dep or similar toolsExperience building go applications backed by a relational database such as Postgres or MySQL1-2 years experience with Docker and/or KubernetesCore Competencies Experience software version control (Preferably Git) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins)Experience with Event Driven Architectures & Messaging brokers like Rabbitmq or Kafka a plusExperience with Code Generation is a big plusLocation/Travel Remote (telecommute) position within the contiguous United States. Minimal travel (Supervisory Responsibility None. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary but generally Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work.
