OverviewJob Description: Product: groceries/ (frozen, fresh produce/ meat, dry produce, patio furniture, coolers, tables/ shelving to and from stores, etc.) Touch: use electric pallet jacks (double length loader jacks). How many pallets and what section of the warehouse (lane or row number to drop them). Pick up 2 pallets at a time, load their trailers (freezer usually gets loaded in front). Bread racks on wheels. Flowerpots also on wheels. Local, home daily Delivering to grocery stores Once they get to the store, stores have single pallet jack, and they offload everything. Brings them directly into freezer or cooler and stages them there. Unattended deliveries. Store keys and alarm codes. Average stops/ miles: 1-4 stops per run. Average miles 200-300 miles (long runs). Short runs are approx. 50 miles. (Less than 400-500 miles in a day, 4-6 per day). Drivers average 2 runs per day. Equipment: Mostly multi temp reefer trailers. Some dry van trailers (rare). Mostly just 53. Accommodate restriction: Yes (prefers manual capability) Sign on bonus: No Safety bonuses: $200 per quarter safety bonus based on criteria 6th day incentive = $150 extra per load.
