Click here to view our state-of-the-art facility. (POSITION SUMMARY: The Respiratory Care Supervisor reports to the Respiratory Care Manager. The Respiratory Care Services Supervisor is an individual who is responsible for organizing, directing, and supervising the daily activities (clinical and support) and personnel of the Respiratory Care Services Department to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients requiring respiratory care. This individual is responsible for solving minor and immediate problems regarding therapy administration and working with physicians and nurses to coordinate Respiratory Patient Care. The supervisor RT is a key communication liaison between Practitioners and Department Director, as well as between the Respiratory Care Services Department and other hospital personnel. As a Practitioner, ensures that quality, timely and appropriate care is provided to Patients of any age including: neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric through patient assessment and treatment; through implementation of quality improvement, utilization review and clinical education programs. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education- Required: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care. A.S. Degree. Preferred: Graduate of an AMA Approved School of Respiratory Care. B.S Degree. Experience- Required: 2-5 years related work experience and 6 months-3 years supervisory/ management experience . Preferred: >5 years related work experience and >3 years supervisory/ management experience. License/Certification- Required: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care., LA License to practice Respiratory Care, NRP and ACLS Certifications to be obtained within 9 months of obtaining employment, Completion of BLS required. Preferred: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care, LA License to practice Respiratory Care, BLS & ACLS Certifications. Skills/Training- Required: Keyboarding skills, Ability to utilize order entry systems, Proficient with Word and Outlook, Excellent verbal, communication, reasoning, computer skills, and time management/organizational skills, Must demonstrate role model behavior . Preferred: Experience with Excel, PowerPoint.
