Summary of Position:The primary function of the Pricing Manager is to develop and implement pricing strategies that market attractiveness and overall business strategy. The successful candidate will also guide and improve the pricing capabilities of the organization by working closely with management, marketing, and the sales teams to maximize profitability and top line growth.Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage existing and new price agreements. • Evaluate price relationships between products. • Manage 9 level pricing matrix within defined system, establish strategic margin range guidelines • Develop and improve pricing systems and tools to support business needs. • Continually monitor and analyze pricing practices and develop recommendations for improvements to the process. • Research and track competitor pricing and market trends. • Manage pricing and costs for assigned product categories. • Continually evaluate competitors compared to company position in the marketplace. • Evaluate price relationships between products. • Manage impact of pricing changes on profitability and growth rates. • Provides support to purchasing staff in all conflicts or questions regarding prices, deliveries, quality and specifications. • Ability to use company computer system to enter orders • Keeping an accurate pricing record • Developing and maintaining an understanding of market conditions impacting the building materials industry • All other duties as assignedOther Competencies: • Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactive • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customersBasic Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel) • Knowledge of Trend system a plus • Experienced quantitative skills**Can be a remote position**
