Lead Recruiter - Talent Acquisition Specialist Purpose:• Valkyrie Enterprises is hiring for an experienced Lead Recruiter - Talent Acquisition Specialist who will be a key support in leading efforts for the company''s Talent Acquisition program (national/international). • Position is based in our Virginia Beach corporate office but is currently supporting a level of remote work (due to current pandemic status). This position requires some flexibility of schedule (particularly to support recruitment events and activities in alternate time zones) and may occasionally work hours beyond a standard workweek.Job Description:• Deliver full-lifecycle recruitment support in a fast-paced, high-volume environment for a government contracting employer specializing in Defense, State, Federal and NATO arenas. Duties include: requisition creation/approvals, screening, interviewing, selection support, offer reviews/approvals, coordination/participation in industry relevant events, market and industry research, developing sourcing strategies, onboarding support, as well as appropriate reporting/documentation. Position will also lead OFCCP and regulatory compliance efforts.• Develop and execute of full-service recruitment plans, in partnership with line management and business development leaders, to ensure Valkyrie attracts/hires/retains qualified candidates while building a steady state pipeline of qualified candidates for a broad array of corporate, engineering/design, technical, trades, and cleared professional positions.• Provide daily support and oversight to the recruiting team through mentoring, guidance, and direction while regularly interfacing with senior HR management to provide status updates.• Cross-functional responsibilities, building on the foundation of a solid talent acquisition program, to support various HR functions to include: labor classification, compensation, workforce development, regulatory compliance, internal/external audit readiness, and diversity/inclusion/equity efforts.• Interface with employees, business leaders of all levels, as well as a broad array of community and workforce development partners (such as state employment agencies and Veteran/Disability/Female/Minority advocacies). Position will lead required outreach and workforce development activities and serve as primary POC to external agencies.Qualifications: • Must have Bachelors in related field or at least 4 years of professional exempt Recruitment/talent Acquisition experience.• Must have experience supporting full lifecycle recruitment activities for a government contracting employer utilizing electronic Applicant Tracking Systems is required as is the ability to efficiently use standard business software and tools (such Microsoft Office Suite - particularly EXCEL).• Must have experience in leading projects (such as ATS implementation, development of recruitment or outreach strategies, etc.)• Must have knowledge of Equal Employment / Affirmative Action compliance as well as an understanding of state, federal, and federal contractor regulatory requirements (to include but not limited to FLSA and ADA) is required.• Must have strong interpersonal skills to build trusting partnerships as well as effective verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must have comfort with public speaking and the ability to present to audiences of various size. Desired Qualifications: • Prior relevant military experience or experience developing/supporting military/Veteran recruitment strategies and programs HIGHLY preferred.• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.Travel Requirements:• Occasional travel-up to 15%• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
