We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Development Engineer who can bring modern machine learning and optimization models into production together working as a part of a highly multi-disciplinary team of data scientist, software development engineers, strategic partners, product managers and subject domain experts. The Full Stack Developer will take models developed by the data scientists and integrate them with the rest of the company''s platform. This could involve building APIs around the model so that it can be served and consumed, developing user interfaces to visualize and interact with model results, and implementing monitoring capabilities to verify that solutions continue to provide accurate inferences. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLEThis position will partner with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to operationalize machine learning and optimization models that deliver new insights to the businessBuild data APIs and data delivery services that support critical operational and analytical applications for Delta''s internal business operations, customers, and partnersTake responsibility for ensuring that model code, data pipelines, API''s, and user interfaces are developed and deployed successfully into productionTroubleshooting issues that arise and supporting production applicationsContinuously integrate code into Delta''s AWS cloud environments Transform data science protypes into ''production-ready'' software productsEnsure a good data flow between database and backend systemsOptimize solutions for performance and scalabilityEnsure that the Delta methodology, standards, and procedures are implementedEnsure that solutions meet the customers'' business goals and that customer satisfaction with the project and conclusion is highCoordinate activities with internal and external technology service providersConsult within project team members, other Delta teams, and outside vendors or consultants to ensure product integrityWhat you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer position has several years of software development experience with recent hands-on experience working with AWS services, in a developer role. Candidate must have a bias for action and be capable of system level thinking. Candidate must also have excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management. Additionally, the candidate must be a self-learner with the ability to pickup new technologies and provide tangible results WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED? 5+ years of experience hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating, and running business, big data and/or data science applications 3+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS as a developer Experience developing with Python 3 Experience developing Angular applications Experience working with AWS services with an emphasis on managed services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Aurora, S3, and API gateway Experience developing infrastructure-as-code using AWS tools (e.g., Cloud Development Kit, Cloud Formation Templates) Experience with DevSecOps and automating application deployment, continuous delivery, and continuous integration (Git, GitLab, Jenkins) Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., VersionOne, JIRA) Strong problem-solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
