Job Description

TMC Technologies is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team supporting the mission of the Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The TMC team provides development and maintenance of tactical initiatives and baseline developments in support of Naval Weapons Systems /Combat Systems (e.g. AEGIS, Aegis BMD, FMS, etc). The Computer Program Engineering Services (CPES) provided include support for Weapon System Element and Combat System Domain Engineering, Fleet and Land Based Test Site Support. TASKING / DESIRED SKILLS: * Cyber Tools Testbed (CTTB): A virtualized environment that emulates AEGIS B/L 10.0 systems and infrastructure, permitting testing of cybersecurity requirements and capabilities at Dahlgren, which has no local B/L 10.0 hardware and currently requires travel to other test sites. * Familiarity with networking and security standards. * Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems (file system structure, commands, etc.). * Programming experience would be helpful. * Familiarity with AEGIS would be helpful. * Development of the CTTB is ongoing, and having the knowledge to make educated recommendations on improvement goes a long way * Baseline10 testing: Evaluation and testing of Baseline10 System Security Administrator Operator''s Manual (SSAOM) test cases. * Travel to Moorestown NJ to perform testing. * Familiarity with basic networking and security standards. * Ability to think laterally with test objectives, how to accomplish a task/objective if the described methods do not work, or are unable to be completed due to other restraints. * Ability to create reports on status/results from testing. * Scan data analysis: Review, analyze, quantify, and prioritize Nessus scan data results to facilitate mitigation of discovered vulnerabilities and weaknesses. * Knowledge of computer security standards/practices is vital. * Attention to detail. * Document reviews: Provide review and feedback on cyber documentation. * Communicate. Tasking and other obligations (meetings, personal appointments, etc.) will often overlap. This includes communication with the customer.
