Security Clearance Required:• Minimum Active Top Secret/SCIRoles and Responsibilities:• Receive and review Congressional requests for information, and draft responses for PEO IEW&S• Coordinate all high visibility Congressional Member and Professional Staff Member visits by scheduling office calls, creating agendas, arranging transportation, providing meal plans, and administrative and protocol support, Provide Audio Visual support, print briefing packages• Ensure PEO IEW&S''s enterprise and tactical programmatic mission funding lines are represented and defended at the Congressional level. Coordinates between PEO IEW&S HQ, PM offices, ASA(ALT), Office of Congressional Legislative Liaison (OCLL), as well as appropriate congressional committees to include appropriation committees• Facilitate, coordinate, and expedite fact-gathering efforts• Review data in light of regulatory provisions to determine propriety and consistency of action and/or need for correction• Provides Congressional perspective when assisting with Annual Readiness Markups, Information Systems Markup, Strategic Forces Markup, Intelligence and Special Operations Markup, and Presidential Budget-related submissions• Submits periodic reports on pertinent Congressional activities and Member interests for PEO IEW&S and PM senior leaders• Provides authoritative guidance and training to PEO IEW&S and PM senior leaders on Congressional Response procedures to include drafting, staffing, submission, and reclamation Minimum Qualifications/Requirements/Certifications:Ensures that the PEO and all attached PMs and other equities receive comprehensive coverage of matters concerning the Executive and Legislative Branches, to include various regulatory agencies. Serves as a cross-functional position focused on multi-agency coordination and the implementation of strategies that consistently achieve positive legislative and regulatory outcomes. Develops and leads impactful legislative agendas in line with ASA (ALT) and DOD guidance. Manages high operational tempos and completes tasks that meet the intent of both PEO Operations and the PEO/DPEO, DISL, COS, BMD, PMs and other Division chiefs / principals. Provides timely and sound counsel that provokes consensus among wide-ranging stakeholders and produces clarity for senior leaders making critical decisions. Candidates must possess previous experience interacting with members of Congress and/or their staff.Minimum Education: Bachelor''s Degree. A minimum seven (7) years relevant experience in federal government affairs required. Must demonstrate successful completion of Military/Government protocol training.Substitution for Education: 15 years military service can be substituted/utilized as related experience.
