We bring both the capability and confidence that our customers value and depend on, and we always deliver. • Provide systems engineering support to the KGSN Chief Architect and Product Owners in architecting solutions to meet current and future customer requirements• Help lead the Agile development process by developing and coordinating roadmaps with Product Owners and other Stakeholders• Derive and document system requirements in support of both internal and external customers• Implement and manage processes for software configuration management• Specify a Bill of Materials for network and satellite communications equipment• Help lead the engineering team through Program Increment Planning• Lead engineering task teams to creatively overcome engineering roadblocks and resolve operational issues• Support the KGSN Program Director in executing projects according to technical, schedule and cost baselines• Coordinate with cross-functional teams regarding new and upgraded product capabilities• Help foster and lead a culture of continuous process improvement• Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders as needed Experience and Skills Required Skills/Experience: • Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.• Minimum of 5 years'' experience in systems engineering and architecture• Candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working as a team member on projects consisting of multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.• Candidate must be capable of leading independent task teams within a larger system team • Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.• Candidate must have solid understanding of computer system architectures• Experience with satellite space or ground systems• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Desired: • Master''s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field • Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) • Experience with system architecture, requirements, interface definition, integration, verification, and validation • Experience with Agile and SAFe principles and processes • Experience with cloud architectures • Experience with software development• Active DoD Secret Clearance Job Benefits * Medical * Dental * Vision * Tax Savings Accounts (HSA / FSA) * Life Insurance * Short Term Disability * Long Term Disability * Employee Assistance Program * 401k * Employee Stock Purchase Plan * PTO * Education Assistance Program * Paid Holidays Kratos Defense is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer.
