Greetings from Cinergy Technology Inc !Job Role : Sr.Network Engineer (688253)Location : Trenton, NJ (Hybrid)Mode of Interview. : Video Duration : 12+ MonthsClient : State of NJRate : $80/hr on C2CJob DescriptionsThe Network Engineer will provide daily operational support and maintenance of the NJT network and will be an escalation point for Network Support L1 Engineers in the NOC.Onsite at least 3 days a week.He/she will be in direct alignment and partnership between Network Operations and Engineering.He/She will participate in the development of (Runbooks, Job Aids, Diagrams and help train. This role the Network Engineer will be a escalation point for the NOC team. This may include providing L1 support when short staffed. Proactively monitoring the network and related infrastructure, providing ongoing trend analysis and recommendations for improvements is also needed.Essential Functions:• Work with management to define/develop the appropriate standards, policies, procedures and recommend network enhancements as part of the NOC team. • Peer with Network Engineering team. Participate in peer reviews and maintain documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures in the NOC. • Provide 24/7 network support, escalation point and act as the lead technical resource in within the NOC team• Monitor system infrastructure technology assets; provide ongoing trend analysis• Experience with network health, availability and performance management. Job Requirements:• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. • Certification may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.• A minimum of three (3) years'' experience as a Network Engineer.• Supervisory role with experience or understanding of with NJT helpful, but not required.• Experience with Extreme Networks. Cisco, Avaya a plus• Hands on with IS-IS, IOS, Hands on as expected for a L2 Network Engineer. • A strong team player who is accountable towards a support organization as a 2nd level support engineer and act as an escalation point providing onsite and/or remote 24x7• Interface with Carriers, Open tickets track to resolution when requiredOther Duties• Analyze and report network alerts generated by the monitoring tools• Open / Escalate tickets as per defined severities and a sense of urgency as needed• Act as second line of contact for all Trouble Ticket issues in the NOC• Interface with Carriers, Open tickets track to resolution.• RTTS, XMC, SolarWinds, Footprints, ServiceNow a plus• Ability to follow through and bring closure to all incidents.• Relevant experience in NOC/production support environmentPlease fill out the follow questions and attach to a document:1.
