Information Security Architect

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Role: This position provides secure design, implementation, and management of Pratum''s services and underlying infrastructure. The Information Security Architect provides clients and internal resources expert knowledge and assistance in securing technology and operations. This position also provides primary administration and support for internal corporate IT. Tasks: Develops and supports SOC services and underlying infrastructure within the SOC services portfolio. Creates and designs new processes and solutions to increase efficiency and enhance services. Implements security measures to resolve vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and recommends security changes to system or system components as needed. Assesses the effectiveness of security controls by conducting technical risk assessments and audits including but not limited to M365 assessments, firewall configuration reviews and cloud security assessments. Provides support during incident response and digital forensic engagements. Works with stakeholders to resolve computer security incidents and vulnerability compliance. Administers and supports the internal corporate IT systems and users. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations; and promoting security practices to others. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Experience implementing and supporting systems within an Azure and/or AWS environment. Experience in System Administration including Microsoft Office 365, desktop, server OS and server applications, Linux/Unix. Experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining network infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention solutions. Experience with system reporting, APIs, scripting and/or programming. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Ability to identify and evaluate risk to IT systems and associated business processes and communicate risks to management. Ability to develop policies, standards and baseline configurations. Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings and convey information. Ability to manage project deliverables and deadlines. Ability to provide superior customer service via phone and email. Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong listening and presentation skills. Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers, management, clients and vendors. Maintain a professional appearance and vocabulary. Ability to perform after-hours escalation support. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION PREFERENCES: AAS or bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Professional Certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, AWS Cloud Architect/Security, or Microsoft 365/Azure Security) desired. Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, Amazon AWS, Office365, Azure, DevOps and similar security technologies is preferred.
