If you are motivated by technical challenges, we offer a collaborative work environment that encourages career growth.Job DescriptionSeeking a self-motivated, team-oriented board design engineer to develop SK HMS''s next generation Solid State Drive (SSD) products. This position requires experience in hardware architecture, design, SI/PI. A successful candidate will have a good knowledge of state of the art memory device technologies, interfaces such as PCIe Gen 4&5, DDR4/5, ONFI NAND and implementation techniques required for high-speed interfaces. In addition, this candidate will have a good working knowledge of power supply designs for PCB. Experience with schematic capture tool and PCB review tool. Expertise in design for optimum signal and power integrity as well as hands-on lab measurements experience is a must. Candidate should have a thorough understanding of hardware development methodologies to achieve a first pass design success.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInterface with cross functional teams to ensure the design meets all firmware, SoC and system level requirementsParticipate in designing of SSD products. Complete ownership of SSD hardware through the product life cyclePerform SSD hardware bring-up test in lab to ascertain the design margins, including power consumption and power noise measurement. Efficient in the test setup, experiment, and result record for automation and remote accessDocument and communicate results with cross functional counterpartsDebug design issues, and perform FA at different product verification stagesExperience in designing high volume and cost sensitive products (keeping manufacturability challenges in mind)PCB back-end process: defining stack-up and via technologies, part placement, setting routing constraintsWorks proactively with cross functional team members during design, verification as well as on RMAsQualificationsBS in Electrical Engineering required; MS in Electrical Engineering is a plus3 to 5 years of relevant working experience; New graduate with equivalent background and skills will be consideredExcellent written and verbal communicationAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.While the COVID-19 vaccination is highly encouraged for the health and safety of our team members, it is not a requirement to demonstrate proof of vaccination at this time.
