Join us and make a difference.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervises the day-to-day activities of the Instrumentation and Calibration group with a primary focus on technician safety, training and development, deployment, work execution and review.Develops and maintains a safe and complaint team.Develops and Manages the Metrology Tool and Standard deployment plan.Supports the Calibration Interval management program including minimally invasive instrumentation tasks which support Calibration interval extension.Develops, supports, approves SOPs and other technical documentation.Ensures routine calibration and instrumentation activities are performed in accordance with established guidelines and operating procedures.Defines and ensures end user training on Metrology Data Sheets and Work Order processing within the related business system.Works with Planners and the Spare Parts group to ensure proper materials and parts are identified and available to sustain Calibration and Corrective activitiesEnsures the proper execution and compliance of Metrology work orders.Provides support to investigations for Metrology related Safety and Quality Events.Monitors instrument diagnostics through Emerson AMS Software and planning corrective predictive maintenance around instrument needs.Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of maintenance, operations and engineering generally attained through studies resulting in a B.S., in engineering, a related discipline, or its equivalent.A minimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance or Operations of Biopharm Manufacturing and Manufacturing Equipment Support With relevant experience in metrology.Previous lead experience which demonstrates proficiency in selection, motivating and retaining a superior team, effectively managing personnel issues and planning and administering financial resources. Computer literate in Maximo or similar computer-based calibration program highly desirable Familiarity with basic relay ladder logic, programmable logic controllers, and distributed control system is desired.Experience with DeviceNet and Foundation Field bus instrumentation highly desirable.Experience with Emerson AMS Software desirable.Experience in working in an environment governed by SOPs and cGMPs and the know-how to work and manage within a regulatory oversight.Experience in both calibration and maintenance of instrumentation on biotech manufacturing equipment including but not limited to: bioreactors, chromatography skis, centrifuge skids, ultra-filtration skids, CIP skids, WFI stills, Clean Steam Generators, Autoclaves, Freezers, Refrigerators, and Incubators.Around the world, we are passionate about making an impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases.
