DESCRIPTION Job summaryAmazon Web Services is looking for software engineers to create new storage technologies for the FSx service. Amazon FSx is an AWS service that makes it easy for customers to launch, run and maintain filesystems in the cloud. We are looking for a senior level Software Development Engineer to join the FSx team and take on a role architecting, designing and developing new storage technologies and designing and building transformative new customer experiences on the Amazon FSx service. As a senior level developer on our team, you will help set the technical direction of the product, delivering reliable and high-performance services and features at AWS scale requires engineers with deep technical expertise and boundless creativity. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 4+ years of professional software development experience3+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language2+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systemsExperience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design• 4+ years of professional software development experience• 2+ years of experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures and algorithms• File system development• Large scale distributed architectural experience• Operating system development (Linux or Windows)• Network, distributed, asynchronous and concurrent programming.• A passion for learning and mentoring othersAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
