Overview This position is in direct support of multiple Special Programs clients at LMI''s Tysons, Virginia office (remote work hybrid). Candidate must be a self-directed multi-tasker able manage time effectively across several projects simultaneously. Candidate must have a strong qualitative and quantitative background and effective communication skills. Responsibilities The Defense Intelligence Consultant position will provide a broad range of support to DoD clients focused on data analysis, technology assessment, process optimization, and industry insights. The Defense Intelligence Consultant must be able to work independently and perform analysis on ambiguous, large problems across multiple markets. Essential functions: * Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure compliance with cost, schedule, and quality standards. * Execute full P&L responsibility for projects of varying sizes, scopes, and timeframes across clients. * Define and implement strategic direction for internal capability areas. * Align capabilities with mission and emerging market trends through rebranding, professional development investments, strategic partnerships, thought leadership, and targeted growth. * Inform business decisions through evaluation, interpretation, and analysis of data, policy, and literature. * Assess effectiveness and efficiency of functions through site visits, interviews, and data analysis. * Interface with clients, stakeholders, and leadership to consistently exceed quality and value expectations. * Evaluate emerging concepts, technologies, and trends for applicability within government operations. * Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards of key metrics to drive client decisions. * Author and publish technical data reports, white papers, proposals, status reports, and other documents. * Provide clients with economic analysis, business process redesign, and technology assessment support. * Develop process maps, identify gaps and redundancies, and recommend improvements. * Develop dynamic models to assess costs of various technology configurations. * Conduct business case analyses on use of advanced technologies within functional operations. * Derive insights and analytic narratives from data analysis for clear communication in response to specific research questions. * Act as an internal resource, assisting leaders in aligning logistics capabilities to market demands. * Develop data-driven recommendations and present information concisely. * Provide operational research, analysis, technical expertise, and management support services. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor''s degree and 5-15 years of relevant work experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) or National Security enterprise. Master''s degree preferred. Experience: Strong background in the DoD, specifically with regard to Defense Intelligence business practices and analytic-based alternatives. Extensive project management experience to include but not limited to identifying, quantifying, and modeling the risks and benefits of critical operations decisions. Expertise in conducting engineering assessments of DoD and commercial operations from a quality management and operational perspective. Active DoD TS clearance. * Must be self-directed and detail oriented. * Current U.S. Government security clearance is required. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong problem solving and analytical skills. * Proficient in at least one programming language.
