Network Engineer with Security Clearance

Requisition :NETWO003356 Job Title:Network Engineer Location:Suitland, MD Clearance Level:Active DoD - Top Secret SCI Required Certification(s): * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CASP.* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).* DoD IAT Level II Certification. **Selected applicantsmay be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ** SUMMARYAgile Defense seeks qualified candidates for support of the Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) capabilities of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) Nimitz Operational Intelligence Command (OIC). Agile Defense provides IT support services to ONI OIC to include tier 1 through 3 on-call support, planning and scheduling, customer/user support, systems engineering and technical assessments, software engineering, system administration and operation, database administration and development, system/software testing and break-fix support. Further support includes the migration of MDA capabilities to the cloud and the application of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) tools to existing MDA data sets. DUTIES* Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot data and telecommunications networks and systems* Create, review and update network designs, network device configurations, project plans, tasks, etc. to ensure network optimization, predictability and support.* Help design, build and implement enterprise Cisco routers/switches based on specified criteria.* Analyze the optimization of network system performance.* Assist with network installations of Cisco equipment, updating network documentation and drawings, and provide support for incident tickets.* Design and manage scalable cloud network infrastructure to support expanding customer needs.* Proactively identify technology issues and solutions to solve them.* Identify and implement INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for the network.* Participate in the development of standards, tools, methodologies, processes, and procedures.* Coordinate the collection of data from multiple sources and devise effective methodologies for storing and retrieving information. Qualifications Education and Certifications* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CASP.* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).* DoD IAT Level II Certification.Background Needed and Years of Experience * Minimum of 7 years'' experience in IA technology or a related area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Technical Skills* Understanding of networking technologies (DMZ, routing, switching, TCP/IP, Ethernet traffic analysis tool, TAPs, traffic brokers, VPNs and firewalls)* Understanding of technology concepts such as SDLC, systems engineering, IT performance management, IT operations, operational monitoring, security monitoring, and KPIs* Knowledge of network operating and maintenance concepts and methods used to troubleshoot network problems for LAN, WAN, and VPN* Knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles.* Must have proven ability to architect, implement and support network infrastructure solutions for routing and switching of diverse transport and data networks.
