KBR is seeking a System Engineer supporting space protection in Chantilly, VA. METROPOLIS has a requirement for knowledgeable space protection systems engineers. In this Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) role, we need a Protection Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support U.S. Government Enterprise Protection Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) for overhead (space) systems. The successful candidate will possess a technical understanding of the Counterspace threat spectrum. The candidate will apply this knowledge to perform end-to-end enterprise protection assessments, support the development of Protection MS&A roadmaps, and evaluation of internal and external MS&A capabilities in support of the Protect and Defend mission. Minimum Qualifications: * Prior experience in counterspace threat systems modeling. Recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) is preferred.* Must possess a solid understanding of MULTI-INT collection strategies* Prior experience developing operational activity sequence diagrams to define U.S. Government system operations* Prior Space Protection experience performing conflict assessments to determine degradation to constellation performance* Prior experience performing kill chain assessments* Must be familiar with Enterprise Protection policies and strategies* Must possess a working knowledge of community MS&A Protection tools* Education: * Mid-Level: BS degree in relevant technical field. (MS degree preferred)* Senior level: BS degree in relevant technical field. (MS or PhD strongly preferred)* Relevant Experience: * Mid-Level: 5-12+ years'' experiencePreferred Qualifications: * Knowledge of AFSIM and/or NGTS frameworks* Experience support wargames and exercises* Experience utilizing near real-time MS&A frameworks* Proficiency with AGI''s Systems Tool Kit (STK), MATLAB, Python, Tableau, and/or C++ Security Requirements: Active Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI. Current TS/SCI preferred.
