You will be responsible for performing the day-to-day delivery of Configuration Management services to the organization taking general direction from the Configuration Management Manager to deliver work products that support ongoing configuration management operations.Key Responsibilities:General and Task ManagementAssist in developing and implementing configuration management (CM) procedures.Review and recommend improvements to existing CM procedures.Oversee configuration and base lining activities of project items.Work with configuration team in development, upgrades, and maintenance of CM database.Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in CM database.Schedule regular audits on CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations.Provide support to management in conducting configuration meetings.Analyze configuration issues and develop appropriate resolutions and action items.Assign workload and schedules to team members.Evaluate performance of team members and provide feedback for improvements.implemented effectively and maintainedParticipates in CCB teams and attends meetings with management and other functional groups to obtain information about and authorizations for the release of configuration items, drawings and software configuration changes specified as needed.Relationship ManagementSupport regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving build qualityCommunicate efficiently throughout the shop floorCommunicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providersQualifications and Experience Levels:Relevant degree such as bachelors and Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical, Management, Education, Business, Associates, Business/Administration, Information Technology, Graduate2 to 5 years experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace.Experience of working in Quality AssuranceExperience of dealing with customers and suppliersAbility to communicate in a clear and concise manner with success working in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)Experience designing and managing a CMDB is a plusExperience in managing development and delivery of multiple overlapping ReleasesComprehensive knowledge of engineering drawings and release and change control procedures using military, commercial, and international standards as they pertain to configuration management and documentationWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
