Job Description Travel Required : No Overtime Required : No Position Type : Contract Job Description: -Coordinates and manages care for patients, including those with complex needs. -Delivers written and oral communications that engage audience participants, respond to their questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. -Effectively delegates and supervises based on one''s state practice act and an understanding of the concepts of responsibility, authority, and accountability. -Performs age related patient assessments and nursing interventions, such as but not limited to: medications orally and intravenously, simple wound/ostomy care, enteral feeding, invasive/noninvasive blood pressure, and temp monitoring, end tidal CO2 monitoring, bi-pap care and management, short term ventilator management Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: -Phillips patient monitoring system -Accudose medication dispensing systems -Nelcor oxygen saturation monitors -EPIC Computer documentation system with Optime (Surgery) and ASAP (Emergency Dept). Required skills and certifications: -IV Insertion 3-6 months experience -Basic EKG interpretation for recognition of high risk arrythmia''s - 6 months -BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC -MN RN license. Floating to over units/departments. Med/Surg/ICU nurse is floated to ED or Post-partum or surgical Women''s Center patients
