Mechanic; Packaging Maintenance - 1st & 2nd Shifts Hauppauge, NY (ApplyDescriptionPosition Summary:The position of the Mechanic; Packaging Maintenance has primary responsibility for the maintenance of all packaging equipment and facilities repairs. Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performs packaging and facilities repairs with minimal supervision. Interprets blueprints and schematics. Diagnose/troubleshoot malfunctions with minimal guidance. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain equipment in a neat and clean fashion. Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.RequirementsEducation and Experience: College degree or Trade School. Mechanical Engineering background. Experience in pharmaceutical packaging preferred. MIG, TIG Welding, mill and turning experience.Skills and Abilities: Attention to detail. Understanding of how facility and packaging equipment operates. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Ability to communicate effectively. The operation of certain machinery requires eye, hand, and foot coordination. English proficient.
