Our employees are not only part of history, they''re making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring Manufacturing Engineers to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in rural Iuka, MS.The assignment may include one or more projects including hand layup, fiber placement, assembly, machining, painting, and structural testing of composite parts. Iuka currently produces structures for Atlas and Antares rockets, F-35 fighter jets, and other high end related parts. Some of our work requires Secret Clearance. Our Iuka facility employs about 200 people across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Support Services. The work we do impacts our national security and supports human space exploration. Come join us and be a part of a rich tradition of aerospace innovation!Responsibilities include the following:Develop and maintain detailed work instructions for assigned products/processesProvide day to day support of manufacturing personnel of composite structuresResolve production issues in processes by working closely with manufacturing personnelSupport root cause and corrective actionBe part of an Integrated Product TeamOur teams are broken out by program and product families. We are regularly ranked as a top company for work life balance!Basic Qualifications:Bachelors and 14+ years of engineering work experience, or a Masters degree and 12+ years, or PhD with 9+ years of engineering work experience.Ability to read engineering drawings and specificationsUnderstanding of root cause & corrective action processes and techniquesExperience with process engineering or manufacturing engineeringComposites knowledge (i.e. hand layup, automated layup, cure experience, and/or machining experience)Ability to obtain a Secret clearance and Special Program AccessPreferred Qualifications:Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Functional knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)Experience in working with aerospace specifications and requirementsExperience authoring, modifying and auditing work proceduresAble to navigate Catia V5 and/or NXAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and Special Program AccessSalary Range: $116,100 USD - $174,100 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
