Registered Nurse, Psychiatric RN (Part Time Day, 12 hrs/week, Barnabas Unit) Req : 0000057722 Category: Nursing Status: Part-Time Shift: Day Facility: Central Jersey Behavioral Health Location: Sbbh Unit, 1691 U.S. Highway 9, Toms River, NJ 08755 The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for psychiatric patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for the State of New Jersey and the policies and procedures of the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center.All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration. The Registered Nurse will demonstrate Barnabas Health''s philosophy to Total Quality Management by actively applying that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers.Position is twelve (12) hours per week, 7:00am - 7:30pm, following a period of orientation and training. Requirements *Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing*Must be licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse*Current BLS for Health Care Providers Program Certification*Minimum two (2) years experience in an inpatient setting preferred*One (1) year experience in a psychiatric/chemical dependency field preferred*Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skillsAdditional Information: The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center (with Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services) constitutes a freestanding 100-bed acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and dual disorders.
