DeVine is a leading provider of Technical and Scientific solutions for Federal, State and commercial clients. Our company is looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to join DeVine in beautiful Monterey California. Current Top Secret Clearance is required and, due to the nature of our client base, only U.S. Citizens may be considered. Team DeVine and the Senior Linux System Administrator will upgrade Linux clusters from RHEL 6 to RHEL 8. The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems correspond to alpha/beta/operations environments for unclassified and secret domains. Our team will provide authoritative advice to government technical staff & officials, and conduct investigations that may require the use of new techniques. This long term project includes planning, analysis, documentation and artifact creation, as well as system configuration, software installation, porting assistance, cyber security compliance configuration, maintenance, including patch management, optimization, and file system support on HPC (High Performance Computing / Supercomputing) and virtualized environments. Duties: * Work with customer base for minor Cluster re-configurations based on migration from RHEL 6 to RHEL 8 and between network boundaries* Install, configure, and operationalize an optimized InfiniBand network allowing execution of government developed HPC applications* Install, configure and setup a working operational environment for the Red Hat Satellite product to allow a RHEL 8 HPC Cluster node-management solution * Implement Ansible Configuration Management across the RHEL 8 HPC Cluster * Implement the RHEL 6 Package Management capability into the RHEL 8 HPC Cluster environment* Ensure the continued operations and maintenance of HPC and virtualization hardware* Allow a cluster managed solution for the HPE Performance Cluster Manager SW product to install, configure and setup a working operational environment* Install, configure and setup a working operational environment to allow a RHEL 8 HPC Cluster the ability to provide workload management and job scheduling for HPC applications* Install, configure, and verify operationalization of back up ability for the IBM Spectrum Protect product * Maintain RHEL 8 HPC Cluster environments per Cyber Security directives including monthly patch updates* Install, configure, and establish functional environment to allow Red Hat Identity Management, with Public Key Infrastructure, to provide a centralized and unified way to manage identity stores, authentication, policies, and authorization policies in a Linux-based domain Preferred experience: * 10+ years'' with HPC and/or Virtualization technologies and processes in support of UNIX/Linuxtype operating systems* 5+ years'' with HPC and/or Virtualization Maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, and user interfaces* 5+ years'' (in last 10 years) with virtual operating systems and components.
