Job DescriptionAdvance Auto Parts, a leader in the automotive aftermarket, currently has an opening for a Manager, Data Management. As a Manager at Advance Auto Parts, you will have an opportunity to disrupt a $100B auto parts industry to bring better and faster solutions to customers. You will be responsible for applying your innovative and engineer skills with Data & Analytics team.The Manager, Data Management should possess the skillset to develop and implement data pipelines, standards and procedures for the Professional and Customer Facing Systems domain. The Manager, Data Management will serve as the single point-of-contact for the Projects being executed in the Professional Customer Facing Systems and be a lead data Manager to manage execution and guide the team. The Manager, Data Management will also define and manage day to day activities within Data track for Professional and Customer Facing Systems domain.NOTE: OPEN TO REMOTE WORK WITHIN THE U.S.AESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Demonstrate strong written and oral communication abilities while interacting with all levels of the organization.Responsible to document and implement data pipelines responsible for moving the data within the Customer Facing Domain.Manage and serve as the single point-of-contact for all the Professional Business and Customer Facing Systems domain and manage the End to End execution of the projects.Manage the communication plan to make sure all the data consumers are aware of the data strategies and any changesDevelop prototypes, technical proof of concepts and code with various solutions and convert platform architecture blueprints to real life working artifactsAssist in conducting technical training and onboarding of new staffStrong cloud experience - AWS, Redshift or SnowflakeDefine, design, model, implement, and operate large, evolving, structured and unstructured datasetsPartner with Product Owners and cross functional teams in a collaborative and agile environmentWork with the latest open source tools, libraries, platforms and languages to build data products enabling other analysts to explore and interact with large and complex data setsCollaborate across the enterprise to enable and share best practices and reusable and scalable tools and code for our analyst communityEstablish forward looking Data and technology objectives and developing the strategies and actions for the team to achieve themQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor''s or Masters degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferredMinimum of 10 years of IT experience with 5 years working with Data Management, Business Intelligence, Architecture, Machine Learning or Data AnalyticsFamiliarity with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and SQL on Hadoop related technologiesAt least 5 years of experience in application design, development or analysisExperience and proficiency in one of Python, Java, Scala, or a similar programming languageExperience leading technical delivery teams, overseeing all technical requirements and deliverablesDefine, design, model, implement, and operate large, evolving, structured and unstructured datasetsExperience with Hadoop/Spark implementation, NoSQL technologies (Cassandra, MongoDB, Neo4j etc.).Knowledge of Big Data Platforms and advanced analytics technologies (predictive as well as prescriptive - SAS, R, Python, Machine Learning etc.)Experience in building data pipelines and integrationsExperience in documenting the data flow & process mapping (min 1-2 years)Exceptional interpersonal skills and written communication skills to frequently interact with all levels of the organizationAbility to cultivate relationships with cross-functional key stakeholders and teams to achieve business objectives and drive strategic changeStrong analytical skill to troubleshoot the issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with the possible solution(s), document the changes, and communicate to the data governance councilProven ability to be a strategic thinker to drive the necessary ownership and data governance within the organizationAbility to evaluate risks and provide business recommendations / solutions in a timely mannerAbility to remain calm in high stress situations while navigating and leading during times of conflictCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSSix Sigma Certification, preferredPMP Certification, preferredKN AAP
