Job Summary We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager who will be responsible for managing product life cycle of multiple RFICs simultaneously and securing key design wins at Tier-1 smart phone OEMs. The product Marketing Manager will help grow pSemi''s cellular RF Front-End and Mobile Wi-Fi portfolio for 4/5G Smartphones to deliver accretive revenue growth, market share expansion and diversification. This position is based in San Diego, CA and will report to the Director of Product Marketing. The position may require frequent business travel between San Diego and San Jose. Roles & Responsibilities This position has responsibility for: Lead increasingly complex products through their entire life-cycle including definition, development, and mass production. Internal product ownership and leadership of cross-functional development team by participating in weekly customer meetings and setting clear customer expectations to pSemi cross-functional teams about key project milestones and customer deliverables Lead customer problem resolution and identify required resources, tasks, and investigation paths to quickly solve customer issues to maintain on-time delivery of pSemi products for customers'' engineering prototypes and pre-production builds Manage product portfolio including providing competitive and market analysis in order to develop data driven short- and long-term product strategy Develop and set pricing strategy, including target cost for engineering and operations team Support business cases generation, MRD creation, market launch plans and portfolio management Maintain and update forecast for supported products Competency Requirements In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Critical Thinking: Skilled at finding logical flaws in arguments and plans; identifies problems and solutions that others might miss; provides detailed insight and constructive criticism into problems and complex situations Working with Ambiguity: Achieves forward progress in the face of poorly defined situations and/or unclear goals; able to work effectively with limited or partial information Evaluating and Implementing Ideas: Defines requirements and resources needed to implement new ideas; approaches innovation with a practical, task-oriented mindset; converts ideas from general concepts into actionable plans Communicating Effectively: Expresses ideas and information in a clear and concise manner; tailors message to fit the interests and needs of the audience; delivers information in a manner that is interesting and compelling to the listener Displaying Technical Expertise: Keeps his/her technical skills current; effectively applies specialized knowledge and skills to perform work tasks; understands and masters the technical skills, knowledge, and tasks associated with his/her job; shares technical expertise with others Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills) 8+ years RF design and product management experience with transceivers, power amplifiers, switches, LNAs, filters, antenna tuners and RF front end modules Experience in technical marketing, business development experience in the semiconductor industry Experience leading cross-functional teams and resolving challenges with tact Strong technical background in RF : experience in smartphone RF Front End or IC design, systems or applications engineering; Understanding of 5G, 4G, WiFi, GPS, and other Wireless Connectivity standards; Understanding of barriers, challenges, and tradeoffs in all functional areas of the semiconductor product life cycle including IC design, manufacturing, quality, sourcing and business operations Ability to make right tradeoffs, and provide guidance to functional areas including RFIC design, Product/Test Engineering, quality, sourcing and business operations in order to deliver RFICs on schedule and cost Lead customer problem resolution and identify required resources, tasks and investigation paths to quickly solve customer issues to maintain on-time delivery of pSemi products for customer''s engineering prototypes and pre-production builds Ability to understand and relay technical information to customers, engineering teams, and marketing colleagues Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills to interact with both external customers and internal customers/teams Willingness to travel 25% of the time Preferred Qualifications Ability to generate Product Required Document (PRD) and negotiate RF specification with customers for key building blocks including Switch, LNA, PA, Filters and Antenna Tuners Responsive, self-driven and directed, with a strong sense of urgency and ownership Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with an open mindedness Education Requirements Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role will travel up to 25% of the time.
