Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Structural Engineer to join the Command and Launch Team. This position can be filled in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.What You''ll Get To Do:The selected candidate will be responsible for executing linear and nonlinear analysis scope using ABAQUS and ANSYS. Responsibilities will include executing analysis efforts to support Launch Equipment design. This includes finite element analysis, weld analysis and bolted joint analysis. In addition, the candidate will be supporting test objective development for model validation and qualification. Relocation assistance may be available.Basic Qualifications:A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 9 years of experience; 7 years with Master''s Degree; 4 years with PhDExperience running dynamic and static structural analysis3+ years of experience with ANSYS toolExperience with Post-processing using MATLAB or EXCELUS citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Proficiency with ABAQUS and FEMAPExposure to structural test applicationsProficient writer and able to verbally communicate technical contentExposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsionExperience working with NX 3D models and CPLMTeamCenter CPLM experienceGBSDmechanicalSalary Range: $108,600 USD - $171,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
